Zita 100mg Tablets contain Sitagliptin Phosphate Monohydrate, a DPP-4 inhibitor used to improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Manufactured by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Zita is commonly prescribed as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs like metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin.

Sitagliptin works by increasing incretin levels, which inhibit glucagon release, increase insulin secretion, and decrease blood glucose levels  , especially after meals.
